Before I go any further, I wanted to say I liked T-Childs' comment, especially about survival of the fittest. It made me think of the verse 2 Cor. 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

I personally believe that the accepting attitude of Darwinism is increasing all over. Over here, it seems to be Darwinism as well as Scientology. One of our politicians has the "gall" to say that we were never a Christian nation, we were not founded on Christian beliefs and are Not a Christian nation at this time.

This is disturbing to me because so many people are "ignorant" (unlearned, not stupid) enough to believe what these people are saying, thereby adhering to what they say. The politicians are the ones I hold responsible for the shape our country is in today as far as our LOW MORAL FIBER, and all of the abominations against the LORD.

I say that because they pass laws that will end up giving people a free pass to somewhere other than heaven for their eternity. I have a lot more to say, but I fear that it will get me into trouble because I don't want to sound judgmental toward anyone.

Oh yes! That snake is still talking today and is having a field day with everything that's going on. I fear for so many people in this world today.

I had never heard the saying which you brought up on my blog, but that is so true so often. Not only do we get to busy "serving Him to hear him" but even in our prayers we are so busy talking, whether it be giving Him our "grocery list" of needs, or even praising Him. While all that is good and right, we also need to take time to be still and listen to Him. What good is asking for His help and guidance if we are so busy talking we don't hear His answer?

Once again, sorry for the "novel" of a comment. I just enjoy discussing GOOD TOPICS.

God Bless,
PJPJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02807442587587976098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5412187929957069944.post-11017228271855819802012-03-17T18:24:30.955-07:002012-03-17T18:24:30.955-07:00Praise God for the truth of His Word and its power...Praise God for the truth of His Word and its power to save the lost! What an excellent, thorough post. Natural selection is one of the natural laws God set in place, and it accounts for diversity within a species but has never resulted in one species "evolving" into another. A sad consequence of evolutionism is the absence of any moral standard, resulting in devolution of society rather than any improvement in civility or idealism. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise and research with us.
God bless,
Laurie Collett
http://savedbygracebiblestudy.blogspot.com/Laurie Colletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10676088158113572565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5412187929957069944.post-27691717616302822722012-03-13T08:26:47.480-07:002012-03-13T08:26:47.480-07:00Brilliant post Frank; I wish I had wrote it to be ...Brilliant post Frank; I wish I had wrote it to be honest!

The ideas of Darwin, perhaps unforeseen at the time, have shaped the world, usually negatively, and as you say are seen best in the imperial fascism of the British Empire at its worst and in the Third Reich under Adolf Hitler. It is also seen in a lesser degree in racism today throughout the world, and the suffocating English class system, of which so many of us are still victim to today.

I love your analogy of comparing Darwinism with the Edenic fall of Adam and Eve; there's definitely a book there somewhere!

The real danger of believing in Darwinism and the survival of the fittest is that we miss the vital thing that sets us apart from the animals, which is a spiritual connection with God. And we compete with others too, which is at best missing the point. It is my belief that every human should find what it is they want to do in life, regardless of what anyone else does, providing of course we don't harm or exploit unfairly anyone else. We can only run our own race as best we can after all. We Christians have the added privilege of guidance from God, and whatever we do or don't do, we can rest assured that He wants only the very best for us.

Look forward to more illuminating and well-written posts.T-Childshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14973808285834438472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5412187929957069944.post-19398235151833135872012-03-12T11:02:14.204-07:002012-03-12T11:02:14.204-07:00Great article and great analysis. As Zig Ziglar said, if we teach our kids they are just animals, we shouldn't be surprised when they act like animals.Donald Fishgrabhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11977970195032209188noreply@blogger.com
